Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 21: Kavinder Gupta, senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and former Deputy Chief Minister has said that on his birthday the Prime Minister has bestowed the women of the nation with special gift of thirty three percent reservation to them in the Lok Sabha and State Assemblies. He expressed this in his address during health and medical camps organised at GB Pant Hospital Satwari and Trikuta Nagar here today as part of the Sewa Pakhwada in connection with birthday celebrations of PM Modi. He also reiterated the BJP Govt's strong commitment to provide the best and affordable healthcare to the people besides taking equitable development to unprecedented heights especially in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Kavinder highlighted the benefits of AYUSH in day today life asserted that it holds a great importance for treatment coverage in health insurance sector. He said that while allopathic treatment has its own benefits, at the same time it needs to be realized that traditional Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Siddha, Unani, and Homeopathy hold great significance for Indians. He said that accordingly these have been provided due space and coverage under AYUSH launched to take care of the health of the people of Bharat. He said that people must avail full benefit of this scheme that provides coverage expenses for treatments in all these traditional systems apart from allopathic treatments. Since the traditional indigenous treatments have been accorded special focus, therefore it has become the most affordable and effective mode of healthcare even in J&K. The former deputy chief minister said that funds are no constraint for developmental projects especially in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory. He asserted that J&K has been provided special focussed attention as it has just come out of over three decades of turmoil due to terrorism. However, during the past few years there has been unprecedented development on ground to ease the life of the people across this sensitive territory. He said that the completed and ongoing developmental projects bear testimony to the Govt's commitment to equitable development in J&K.
