Ramban police traces missing lady, reunites her with family

RAMBAN, Sept 22: In a commendable effort, the Ramban Police successfully traced a missing lady along with her 3-year-old daughter and reunited them with their family. The heartening reunion came after days of dedicated search and coordination.
On September 14, 2023, the Police Station Gool received an application from Mr. Mohd Sharief, the husband of the missing lady, Shama Begum, who resides in Dachan Gool, Tehsil Gool, District Ramban. Mr. Sharief reported the disappearance of his wife and their 3-year-old daughter. In response to this distressing information, a missing report was filed under DDR no. 16, dated September 14, 2023, at Police Station Gool.
The search for the missing lady and her daughter was carried out by the diligent team at Police Station Gool, utilizing technical assistance and resources. After thorough efforts and with the aid of technical means, the missing lady and her daughter were eventually traced to District Udhampur.
Following the successful location of Shama Begum and her daughter, all legal formalities were duly completed, and they were reunited with their legal heirs. The missing report was consequently closed, marking the end of this episode.
This remarkable achievement was made possible through the unwavering dedication and teamwork of the Police Station Gool, led by Inspector Firdoos Ahmed, SHO PS Gool, and supervised by Mr. Nihar Ranjan JKPS, SDPO Gool, and Mr. Gourav Mahajan JKPS, Adl. SP Ramban, under the overall supervision of Ms. Mohita Sharma, IPS, SSP Ramban.
The successful reunion of Shama Begum and her daughter with their family stands as a testament to the commitment of the Ramban Police in ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.
