Police cracks two theft cases, apprehend 3 notorious thieves; recover gold, silver ornaments, and cash | | | Early Times Report SAMBA, Sept 22: In a significant achievement under the vigilant leadership of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh, the Samba Police have successfully solved two theft cases, resulting in the arrest of three notorious thieves and the recovery of stolen items, including gold and silver ornaments valued at approximately two lakhs rupees, along with a cash amount of Rs 5,500. The apprehended thieves have been identified as follows: Manzoor Ahmed alias Paphu, son of Bashir Ahmed, resident of Chak Manga Gujjran district Samba. Alaf Din alias Sadam, son of Ghulam Hussain, resident of Chak Manga Gujjran district Samba. Amrik Chand, son of Kaku Ram, resident of Billawar district Kathua. The cases of theft at Guru Ravi Dass Ji Temple in Diani, Samba, and the theft case in Chak Manga Gujjran, Samba, have been successfully resolved with these arrests. Thieves Manzoor Ahmed alias Paphu and Alaf Din alias Sadam were arrested in connection with the theft case in Chak Manga Gujjran, Samba, during which gold, silver ornaments, and cash were stolen. The case was registered under FIR No. 223/2023 u/s 457/380 IPC at Police Station Samba through Police Post Rakh Amb Talli. Thief Amrik Chand was apprehended in connection with the theft case at Guru Ravi Dass Ji Temple in Diani, Samba, where cash was stolen. The case was registered under FIR No. 228/2023 U/S 454/380 IPC at Police Station Samba. The arrests were made by a dedicated police team led by SHO Police Station Samba Daljit Singh, ASI Balbir Kumar of PP Supwal, ASI Ramesh Chander of PP Rakh Amb Talli, and Incharge Police Post Rakh Amb Talli PSI Davinder Singh, all under the supervision of DySP Garu Ram and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary. Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh commended the relentless efforts of the police team, highlighting that Samba Police have arrested 133 thieves and solved 70 theft cases in the span of eight months. The recovery of substantial stolen property, including cash, gold, and silver ornaments, reflects the commitment of the police force to diligently investigate theft cases and swiftly bring perpetrators to justice, thus ensuring the safety and security of the district. |
