Foundation of new India laid through women’s reservations bill: Rekha Mahajan

Jammu, Sept 22: After the passing of ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’ (Women’s Reservation Bill) in the Rajya Sabha, the BJP District President Jammu South Rekha Mahajan along Prabhari District Jammu South Ayodhya Gupta, District General Secretary Pushpinder Singh, District Vice President Narinder Koki, District Secretary Pummi Choudhary Mandal President Bharat Bhushan including members of the BJP women’s and local public in ward no 43 of Bahu Constituency in District Jammu South offer sweets in extravaganza after the Women’s Reservation Bill was passed in the Lok Sabha during the Special session of Parliament, in New Delhi, India on Thursday, September 21, 2023.
Rekha Mahajan remarked It’s a big day for women,” and do not doubt about implementation “Modi Hai Toh Mum, kin Hai”. She expressed her happiness over the passage of the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’ and said the Rajya Sabha passed the long-pending bill granting 33 percent reservation to women in Lok Sabha and state assemblies with 215 MPs voting in favor of the bill. The Upper House of Parliament underwent a day-long session discussing the 128th Constitution Amendment Bill, the Nari Shakti Vandan Bill.
Rekha lauds PM Modi’s historical vision in favor of women reservation in India’s parliament passed a landmark bill Thursday that will reserve a third of its seats in the lower house and state assemblies for women, in a major win for rights groups that have for decades campaigned for better gender representation in politics. Rekha added “We are really happy about the passage of ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’ in the Parliament. She said it’s a historical and visionary move and we are happy because we are half the population and had only been hearing about 33 percent reservation for so many years,” the BJP District President Jammu South Rekha said.
Rekha Mahajan along with team members were seen holding ‘Thank You Modi Ji’ posters as they gathered in ward no 43 and expressed their happiness, sweets were also distributed among the general populace. Rekha said the Bill was awaited for 27 years. A historic era has begun. The Bill was passed in a golden era. I want to thank him for finding the solution to years of struggle she added.
