Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Sept 25: In a bid to protect the cultural identity, education, and rights of the local population, as well as combat substance abuse and crime, the Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu and Kashmir unit launched the "Mai Bhi Ek Sanik" campaign in Udhampur. The party also announced the reorganization of its district unit. Under the leadership of Manish Sahni, State President of Shiv Sena, Udhampur unit members conducted a door-to-door outreach, encouraging people to join the "Mai Bhi Ek Sanik" (I am also a soldier) campaign to fight for their rights effectively. Sahni highlighted the challenges faced by the region, such as the aftermath of the abrogation of Article 370, which changed the state's status, the domination of outsiders in jobs and education, and the struggles of local youth for employment opportunities. He also mentioned the rising issues of terrorism, drug addiction, and crime. Sahni criticized what he saw as arbitrary actions by the administration that left the public feeling helpless. He urged the people to unite and take their fight for their rights to a decisive phase, aiming to restore prosperity and make Jammu and Kashmir a source of pride for the nation once more. During this event, the district unit was reorganized, with appointments including Ajay Sharma and Rajesh Verma as District General Secretaries, and several others taking up various positions in the leadership team. Many young individuals, inspired by the party's policies and ideas, also joined Shiv Sena.
