JAMMU, Sept 25: A 54-year-old man was found dead under mysterious circumstances near Railway Track in Channi Himmat area here, police said on Monday.
Police said that information was received last night about a dead body with injuries lying near the Railway Track.
The police party from GRP Police Station Jammu rushed to the spot and shifted the body to the mortuary for the post-mortem.
The deceased was identified as Kulveer Singh Sambyal, resident of Rajpura, Subash Nagar
"We have registered a case and inquest proceedings have been initiated," police added.
However, the family smelt foul play and have alleged that the man has been murdered. They demanded a probe into the matter. |
