| GDC Kalakote celebrates 153rd Gandhi Jayanti | | |  Early Times Report
KALAKOTE, Sept 26: Bearing the torch of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav', GDC Kalakote conducted a series of activities in the fortnight of 'Gandhi Jayanti' under the patronage of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Seema Arora. The main aim of the activities was to make students understand the significance of Gandhian Philosophy in Independence movement and modern India. The programme commenced with a formal welcome address by Nafeesa Mushtaq (HOD, Department of Economics) in which she welcomed and apprised about the schedule of the activities to be organized on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti.
On the occasion, Principal Prof. (Dr.) Seema Arora shared her valuable views about the Gandhi ji's life and his role in freedom struggle. In this regard, she said how the Passive Resistance (Satyagragha) became a tool for our freedom.
