CBC marks vigilance awareness week 2023 | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 26: The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), a division under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, observed Vigilance Awareness Week 2023 at the media center of the Regional Office in Jammu. The primary focus of this event was to raise awareness about Public Interest Disclosure and Protection of Informers (PIDPI) Resolution. The Central Vigilance Commission had initiated a campaign before Vigilance Awareness Week, highlighting specific preventive vigilance initiatives as key areas of focus for all Ministries, Departments, and Organizations. During the event, Shri Devinder Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) from the Anti-Corruption Bureau in Jammu, delivered the opening remarks. He emphasized the Anti-Corruption Bureau's commitment to strong values and ethics, striving for excellence. He shared various real-life examples that showcased the highest levels of honesty and courage. Kamal Sangra, Inspector from the Anti-Corruption Bureau Jammu, stressed the importance of instilling three core values in every organization: transparency, disclosure, and good corporate governance practices. He presented several case studies highlighting instances of honesty demonstrated by different individuals. Additionally, he provided insights into various laws and their applicability in day-to-day operations. In his presidential address, Gh Abbas, Joint Director of CBC/PIB, emphasized that the eradication of corruption from society requires active participation from the general public. He emphasized that no government department can achieve success without the wholehearted participation of the public at large. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Ayushi Puri, Deputy Director at CBC J&K Ladakh. |
