Humanity Public School Celebrates Gandhi Jayanti, Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti

Jammu/Samba, Sept 30: The 2nd of October is a day of profound significance for Indians as it marks the birth anniversaries of two iconic leaders, Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. To pay homage to these revered figures, the students and teachers of Humanity Public School in Bassi Kalan, Samba, organized a special assembly on September 30, 2023, to commemorate their lives and teachings.
The program commenced with a heartfelt tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri by the school's Principal, Mr. Gaurav Charak, along with other dignitaries, including Vice-Principal Mrs. Anku Charak, Senior Incharge Mr. Akashdeep Raina, Higher Secondary Incharge Mr. Keshav Raj Sharma, Secondary Wing Incharge Ms. Namrata Sharma, Primary Wing Incharge Vandana Sharma, Pre-Primary Wing Incharge Mrs. Aparna Billowria, Activity Incharge Mrs. Meenu Khajuria, and IT Incharge Er. Varinder Kumar.
The assembly featured a special speech that included quotes and messages from Mahatma Gandhi, shedding light on the life and principles of this iconic leader. Students Vivek from Class 11th A and Manvi Bhagat from Class 7th A delivered speeches in English, highlighting the contributions of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.
Young students from the primary wing, dressed as Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri, recited beautiful poems that paid tribute to these leaders. The program was further enriched by melodious songs presented with enthusiasm by students Ranvir and Ahan from Class 1st B, Nakash from 2nd A, and Mukund from 4th C, under the guidance of their music teachers Mr. Kumar Abhilash and Mr. Rajan Kumar.
Mr. Keshav Raj Sharma, the Higher Secondary Wing Incharge, emphasized the significance of Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti, urging students to follow the path of non-violence.
Principal Mr. Gaurav Charak addressed the gathering, stating, "Gandhi Jayanti is the right time to pledge to follow Gandhian principles and lead a life free from hatred and violence." He also shared insights into the life of Lal Bahadur Shastri and his principles of loyalty and honesty, motivating students with Shastri Ji's famous slogan, "Jai Jawan, Jai Kisaan."
Vice-Principal Mrs. Anku Charak emphasized the importance of celebrating such occasions with great zeal and enthusiasm, leaving the students with words of wisdom.
The celebration served as a reminder of the enduring legacies of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri, inspiring students to embrace their values and principles in their own lives.
