Early Times Report RAMBAN, Oct 2: Ramban Police received information from reliable sources that two individuals, namely Rakesh Kumar, son of Romesh Chand, resident of Dalwas, and Vijay Kumar, son of Om Prakash, resident of Dhalwas, had allegedly stolen 50 bags of cement meant for industrial use only, with an estimated value of approximately ?25,000. It was reported that they were transporting these stolen cement bags in two Tata autos bearing registration numbers JK19A 2997 and JK19A 2270 for illegal sale. In response to this information, a case FIR No. 122/2023 was registered at Police Station Chanderkote under the relevant sections of the law. A special team was formed to investigate the matter, and the two vehicles involved were intercepted. Subsequently, the stolen cement bags were recovered. An ongoing investigation aims to determine whether the recovered cement was stolen or misappropriated by any agency. The successful recovery operation was carried out by a police team led by SHO PS Chanderkote, Inspector PD Singh, under the supervision of Sh. Om Prakash, DySP Hqrs Ramban, and the overall guidance of Ms. Mohita Sharma, IPS, SSP Ramban. |
