Bhajan Sandhya celebrates Gandhi Jayanti organized by J&K Academy of Art, Culture, Languages | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 3: As part of the Gandhi Jayanti celebrations, the J&K Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages hosted a Bhajan Sandhya at K.L. Saigal Hall in Jammu. The esteemed occasion was graced by Prof. Anupama Sharma, a renowned artist from Jammu and Kashmir, who served as the chief guest. The event commenced with a Kabir Bhajan performance by the distinguished artist Marina Jamwal, setting a spiritual tone for the evening. Vanshika Jaral followed with her melodious renditions of bhajans, captivating the audience with her soulful voice. Vishal Gupta then presented Kabir Bhajans, further enriching the musical experience. The grand finale of the Bhajan Sandhya featured the renowned artist from Jammu and Kashmir, Suraj Singh, who delivered a mesmerizing performance with his bhajans. The singers received exceptional support from talented musicians, including Rakesh Anand on flute, Sohini Sharma on synth, Shivinder on guitar, and Amit Anand on tabla. The bhajans were composed by the distinguished writer, artist, and musician of Jammu and Kashmir, Prithvi Raj Sharma. The entire program was skillfully conducted by Ms. Bindiya Raina Tikku. Dr. Shahnawaz, Editor Cum Cultural Officer at JKAACL, extended a warm welcome to the guests on behalf of Secretary JKAACL, Bharat Singh, JKAS, who has been instrumental in organizing such cultural programs.
