Jammu, Oct 3: The police in Akhnoor received reliable information that an individual named Madan Singh, son of Rakha Singh and resident of Devipur, Akhnoor, was involved in the illegal sale of liquor from his meat shop in the village.
Acting on this information, a case under FIR No. 268/2023 was registered under Sections 48-a and 48-f of the Excise Act at the local police station.
The Akhnoor Police, led by Station House Officer Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq, and under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor, Mohan Lal Sharma, conducted extensive investigations into the matter. As a result, they successfully arrested the accused, Madan Singh, and seized 25 quarters of JK Special whiskey, with each quarter containing 180 milliliters of liquor, from the scene of the crime.
The investigation into the case is ongoing as the police work to gather further evidence and details related to the illicit liquor sales. |
