Bovine smuggling Bid boiled in Udhampur, 13 Bovines rescued in two different cases

Udhampur, Oct 7 : Udhampur Police under the overall supervision of SSP Udhampur Dr. Vinod Kumar-IPS have foiled 02 bovine smuggling bids under the jurisdiction of Police Station Rehambal and Police Station Ramnagar where in 13 bovines were rescued which were being transported towards Kashmir valley.
Police party of Police Post Tikri led by PSI Satish Katil IC PP Tikri and assisted by Insp. Pushpinder Singh SHO Police Station Rehambal under the supervision of Addl. SP Udhampur Sh. Anwaar Ul Haq and DySP Hqrs. Udhampur Sh. Gurmeet Singh while performing routine naka checking at Tikri check point siganlled to stop 01 truck bearing registration number JK14H 1991 for checking purpose.
On physical checking of the above said vehicle, police team found 09 total bovines loaded in the said vehicle without any valid permission.
Thereafter all the 09 bovines were rescued and the driver of the vehicle fled away from the spot by taking the advantage of heavy traffic on road.
In this connection, one case FIR under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station Rehambal and further investigation of the case is in progress.
In another case Police team of PS Ramnagar led by insp. Sohan Singh SHO PS Ramnagar under the supervision of SDPO Ramnagar Sh. Vishal Manhas while performing vehicle checking at Kougha, Ramnagar signalled to stop one load carrier bearing registration number JK14 J 1626 for checking purpose.
On checking police team found 04 bovines loaded in the said load carrier without any permission.
Thereafter, all 04 bovine were rescued and the driver of the vehicle fled away from the spot.
In this connection, case FIR No. 116/2023 under sections 188IPC 11PCA stand registered at PS Ramnagar and further investigation is underway.
