Ecoclub at GDC Vijaypur celebrates Wildlife Week with Skit Performance

VIJAYPUR, Oct 9: The Ecoclub, known as the "Green Warriors," at Government Degree College (GDC) Vijaypur, came together to celebrate Wildlife Week with a captivating skit performance on the college campus. The event, organized by Poonam Kundan, the Convener of Ecoclub, featured dedicated participation from students including Chandan, Haroon, Akash, Nikita, Rohit, Amit, Rupaank, Riya, and Vanshika.
The primary aim of this event was to raise awareness about the vital importance of wildlife conservation and the urgent need to protect and preserve the rich biodiversity of our nation. The skit, performed under the theme "Partnership for Wildlife Conservation," was a testament to the dedication and enthusiasm of the participants.
Dr. Vandana Gupta, the esteemed Principal of GDC Vijaypur, extended her heartfelt congratulations and appreciation to the Department of Environmental Sciences for organizing this impactful event. She highlighted the indispensable role that wildlife plays in maintaining the delicate ecological balance of our planet. Furthermore, Dr. Gupta discussed the existing threats to wildlife and emphasized the critical measures required for their conservation. The program ran smoothly with efficient coordination by Poonam Kundan, co-coordinated by Dr. Naseem Choudhary and Radhika Rasyal. To acknowledge the dedication and effort of the skit performers, momentos and certificates were presented to all participants. The event concluded on a delightful note with refreshments distributed to all attendees.
The celebration of Wildlife Week by the Ecoclub at GDC Vijaypur reflects the institution's commitment to raising awareness about wildlife conservation and instilling a sense of responsibility in the younger generation towards the protection of our natural heritage.
