Early Times Report KATHUA, Oct 9: In an endeavor to promote wildlife conservation and instill awareness about the significance of preserving India's natural heritage, the Science Club and Ravi Eco Club of Government Degree College (GDC) Kathua jointly organized a field trip to Jasrota Wildlife Sanctuary. This educational excursion was made possible through sponsorship by the Jammu and Kashmir Science, Technology, and Innovation Council. The field trip was conducted under the guidance of GDC Kathua's Principal, Prof. Seema Mir, and coordinated by Ms. Sunita Razdan, Joint Director of J&K Science, Technology, and Innovation Council, Prof. Rakesh Singh, Convener of the Science Club, Dr. Deepshikha, Convener of Ravi Eco Club, and Dr. Pankaj Gupta, Organizing Secretary, and Nodal Officer. Over 50 enthusiastic students actively participated in this enlightening field trip to Jasrota Wildlife Sanctuary. The trip was ceremonially inaugurated by the Principal of GDC Kathua in the presence of Prof. Rakesh Singh, Prof. Raj Kiran, Dr. Deepshikha, Dr. Pankaj Gupta, Prof. Shub Kumar, Dr. Surya Partap Singh, Prof. Surbhi Gupta, Dr. Suresh, Dr. Kamaldeep, Dr. Amrik, and Prof. Neeru Sharma. Throughout the trip, students exhibited unwavering enthusiasm as they explored various locations within the sanctuary and had the opportunity to observe a diverse range of fauna and flora. Prof. Seema Mir, Principal of GDC Kathua, emphasized the vital importance of such trips in increasing public awareness about the role of wildlife in maintaining the delicate balance of nature.
