GDC Sidhra organizes Fit India Freedom Run 4.0 | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 9: In alignment with the Fit India Freedom Run 4.0, an initiative by the Department of Sports under the Ministry of Youth Affairs, the NSS Unit at Government Degree College (GDC) Sidhra organized a spirited Fit India Freedom Run. This event, held under the auspices of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 50 NSS volunteers. The designated route for the run led the students through Peacock Colony, Bajalta, covering an impressive distance of 4 kilometers. The primary objective of the run was to foster a culture of walking and running, promoting improved health and fitness among the participants. The NSS volunteers embarked on the run with unwavering enthusiasm, emphasizing the significance of physical activity in one's daily routine. The event aimed to inspire individuals to incorporate walking and running into their lives as essential components of a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Mehmood Ahmed, the Programme Officer of the NSS Unit at GDC Sidhra, and Dr. Adil, the Physical Training Instructor of the college, provided guidance and support to the volunteers throughout the run, ensuring its smooth and successful execution. The entire event was conducted under the able guidance of the esteemed Principal of GDC Sidhra, Dr. B.B. Anand. His leadership and support played a pivotal role in making the Fit India Freedom Run a memorable and impactful event for the college community.
