Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 10: The 2-Day Seminar on the Role of Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmiri Language and Literature successfully concluded at JKAACL, Jammu. This initiative by JKAACL (Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages) was well-received and appreciated by all attendees. The second day of the event commenced with a paper reading session presided over by Prof. Shad Ramzan, the convenor of Kashmiri Language. Sharing the presidium were P.N Trisal and Gouri Shankar Raina. During this session, P.N. Trisal presented a paper on the Contribution of Kashmiri Pandits in shaping the History of Jammu and Kashmir, while Gouri Shankar Raina discussed the Kashmiri Pandits' Contribution to drama. Dr. Shahnawaz, ECCO(G), JKAACL, extended a warm welcome to the guests on behalf of Sh. Bharat Singh, Secretary of JKAACL. He expressed gratitude to the writers and the audience for making the event a resounding success. Following the paper reading session, short stories were presented by Makhan Lal Pandita and Vijay Sagar, sharing their compelling narratives. The seminar continued with a session on Kashmiri Poetry, presided over by P.N Shad, with Prof. B.L Zutshi as the guest of honor. A multitude of writers presented their poetry, including P.N. Shad, Badri Nath Abhilash, Bal Krishen Sanyasi, Pyare Hatash Tej Sagar, Satish Safeer, Rajinder Agosh, Mohan Lal Tickoo (Didar Mohan), Ramesh Nirash, Mahraj Krishan, Santosh Shah Nadaan, Kusum Dhar, Chaman Pinjuri, Som Nath Bhat, Pitamber Razdan, Nancy Chetna, Rajni Bahar, Shad Ramzan, and Gopi Krishan Bahar. The audience included notable figures like Prof. Veena Pandita and Dr. R.L. Shant. The event concluded with a mesmerizing light music performance by young and talented artists, including Gandarav Kaloo, Pranav Pandita, Vishwas Pandita, Simran Gurtoo, Pallvi Koul, and Shriya Gurtoo. Their melodious voices captivated the audience, supported by Rahul Bhardwaj on Tabla, Rakesh Anand on Flute, Vicky Gill on Synth, and Ritesh on Octopad. The musical evening was orchestrated by Kuldeep Saproo, a renowned music composer, and conducted by Vijay Wali. |
