He also highlighted the importance of promoting positive mental health through mindfulness, hopefulness, optimism, and various relaxation techniques. The session witnessed active participation from more than 120 students and faculty members. Principal Prof. Seema Mir emphasized the need for awareness programs, particularly targeting youth who are often more vulnerable to psychological problems. She noted that mental disorders are becoming increasingly prevalent among the younger generation, resulting in emotional suffering, a diminished quality of life, and the associated challenges of alienation, stigma, and discrimination. The event served as an important platform to educate and sensitize individuals about mental health issues, fostering a more inclusive and supportive environment. It highlighted the significance of recognizing mental health as a universal human right and the collective responsibility to advocate for better mental health for all. |
