J&K & Punjab Police jointly crack inter-state narcotics network, nab key accused | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 11: The Jammu and Kashmir Police and Punjab Police have jointly cracked the inter-state narcotics network by arresting a smuggler with crore of rupees and fake vehicle number plates. Jammu and Kashmir police and Punjab police arrested one drug smuggler from Mullanpur, Dakha, and seized Rs 4.94 crore along with 38 fake vehicle number plates. DGP Punjab wrote on X that the arrested person is one of the key accused in the 30 kg heroin recovery made in Jammu recently. "Investigations are ongoing to establish backward and forward linkages. Police said the revolver was also recovered from the arrested person," he wrote. On October 1, two narcotic smugglers were arrested with 30-kg heroin worth crores of rupees from a vehicle in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir. The recovery was made from a Punjab-bound vehicle on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway. "He is one of the key accused in the 30 kg of cocaine recently recovered in Jammu. Investigations are ongoing to establish backward and forward linkages. Punjab Police is committed to making Punjab drug-free as per the vision of CM Bhagwant Mann," the DGP further posted on X. |
