DC listens to people’s issues at Weekly Block Diwas programme

REASI, Oct 18: To assess the local issues and listen to the grievances of the people, the District Administration Reasi today held Block Diwas at the conference hall of the DC office complex, which was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babila Rakwal.
The programme witnessed scores of individuals and deputations including PRI members projecting demands and apprising DC about the problems faced by the inhabitants of their respective areas.
The Deputy Commissioner gave a patient hearing to all the grievances and demands put forth by the PRIs and concerned stakeholders. She assured that all their issues and demands shall be taken with the concerned authorities for their timely redressal.
On the occasion, a proactive initiative to foster skill development and empower the local community, a special awareness programme on the recently launched “PM Vishwakarma Scheme” was also held.
The programme was aimed at sensitizing the participants regarding the new Scheme.
The PM Vishwakarma scheme is fully funded by the Government of India, provides recognition and holistic support to traditional artisans and craft people working with their Hands and tools.
General Manager District Industries Centre, Reasi, Mohammad Anwar Banday briefed the participants regarding the process through Power Point Presentation. All the participants expressed gratitude and thanked the government and administration of the district for the initiatives being taken for the Vishwakarmas.
DC emphasized the critical importance of ensuring that the scheme benefits reach the deserving people. The DC further directed the concerned functionaries to identify the eligible beneficiaries.
ADDC Jyoti Slathia, ADC Abdul Star, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Reasi, Chief Education Officer, CMO, XEN’s from PWD and PHE, Chief Agriculture and Horticulture Officer, Tehsildar Reasi and other concerned officers present on the occasion.
