Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 18: The Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages (JKAACL) kicked off a significant two-day seminar today, focusing on the life and remarkable contributions of Iqbal Azim Choudhary to Gojri Language and literature. The event took place at the JKAACL premises in Jammu and was graced by notable dignitaries. The inaugural ceremony was a grand affair, with G.D. Tahir, Former Director of Doordarshan Srinagar, and Padma Shree Dr. Jitender Udhampuri, Former Director of AIR, Jammu, presiding over it. Dr. Shahnawaz, Editor and Head of the Gojri Wing at JKAACL, extended a warm welcome to the esteemed guests on behalf of Bharat Singh, Secretary of JKAACL, highlighting the Academy's commendable efforts in preserving and advancing the Gojri Language in Jammu and Kashmir. Padma Shree Dr. Jitender Udhampuri, in his role as the guest of honor, commended JKAACL for its efforts in promoting the rich literature and culture of Jammu and Kashmir. G.D. Tahir, in his presidential address, praised JKAACL and particularly Secretary Bharat Singh for their relentless work in nurturing Gojri literature and culture in the region. Following the inaugural ceremony, a paper reading session was organized, where researchers presented their work on the life and contributions of the late Iqbal Azim Choudhary. Mohd. Mansha Khaki presented a paper on the life and works of Iqbal Azim Choudhary, Abdul Ghani Arif delved into the life of Iqbal Azim Choudhary, Dr. Mirza Khan Waqaar shared his insights on the memories of the late Iqbal Azim Choudhary, Mtr Zahida Kouser explored his literary contributions, and G.D. Tahir presented a paper on the poetic contributions. |
