Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 18: The Youth Services and Sports Department of District Jammu initiated an exciting Inter Zonal District-level Athletic Meet at the Synthetic Turf University Ground, Jammu. The event saw an impressive turnout, with around 350 young male athletes hailing from all fourteen Zones actively participating on its inaugural day. The competitors displayed remarkable talent and dedication, vying for the coveted first, second, and third-place titles, which were awarded with medals. The Athletic Meet is being organized under the patronage of Director Youth Services and Sports JK UT, Subhash Chander Chibber (JKAS), and guided by Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Jammu, Suram Chand Sharma (JKAS). The overall supervision of the event is being carried out by DYSSO Jammu, Sukhdev Raj Sharma. The primary objective of this competition is to identify and select the most promising athletes for the upcoming competitions at higher levels. DYSSO Jammu expressed his appreciation for the winners and encouraged them to maintain their training regimen in preparation for the inter-district division-level competitions. This event's success was made possible through the dedicated efforts of all the officials involved, who played a significant role in its organization.
