Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 19: A three-day training program on "Gender Sensitization and Forensic Training," sponsored by the National Commission for Women (NCW), New Delhi, concluded successfully today at the S.K. Police Academy. The program saw the participation of 22 police officers and officials from across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The primary focus of the training program was to enhance the skills and knowledge of the participants in understanding women's rights, promoting gender equality, and addressing gender-based violence. It also provided training in forensic techniques to improve investigation and evidence collection. The training program featured lectures and presentations by esteemed speakers. Shalini Sharma, Member of the Juvenile Justice Board in Jammu, Prof. Neeru Sharma from the University of Jammu, Nayeem Abass Hamdani, a Cyber Consultant, Shri Rohit Koul, Scientific Officer from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Jammu, Sandeep Mahajan, Inspr. Sanjeev Gupta, and Rakesh Manni, Inspr., all from the faculty of S.K. Police Academy, delivered lectures to the participants. The valediction function was graced by Rajinder Kumar Gupta, IPS, SSP, Dy. Director (Indoor, Trgs), who served as the chief guest. During his address, he emphasized the global importance of addressing gender inequality and encouraged the participants to advocate for gender equality and share their newly acquired knowledge within their peer groups. The successful execution of the program was made possible through the coordination of Sanjeev Gupta, Inspr., and was assisted by Sukhvir Singh, SI.
