| 10.40 grams of heroin recovered by Janipur Police | | |

Jammu, Oct 19: Continuing it’s drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Jammu Police achieved major success by recovering 10.40 grams of heroin from an accused during patrolling duty at upper Roop Nagar Janipur area under the jurisdiction of PS Janipur.
A police team of PS Janipur led by SDPO West Vikram Singh assisted by SHO PS Janipur Inspr. Sikander Singh while on patrolling duty rounded up one suspect. On search, 10.40 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession. In this regard a case FIR No.114/2023 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act got registered in PS Janipur and accused was arrested. The accused arrested was later identified as :- Deepak Khajuria S/o Lt. Som Raj Khajuria R/o Upper Krishna Nagar Jammu A/P Bantalab.
Further investigation of the cases is going on. Jammu police is working intensively to uproot the chains of drug supply in the region and thorough questioning of the accused is going on to know the origin of the drugs supply chain.
