| Dr. Darakhshan takes stock of arrangements for Urs-e-Dastgir Sahib | | |  Early Times Report
Srinagar, Oct 24: Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson of the Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board and Minister of State, visited the revered shrine of Peer Dastgir Sahib (RA) in Khanyar to assess the preparations made for pilgrims attending the Annual Urs celebrations. The Annual Urs, a significant religious event, is being celebrated at the shrine, with the main observance set for Friday. Dr. Andrabi held discussions with representatives from various government departments and delegations of local residents to ensure that all necessary arrangements are in place for the devotees. She stated that during a recent meeting with local administration and department representatives, a comprehensive plan was formulated to facilitate pilgrims visiting the shrine. “The road is being macadamized as agreed upon in the meeting, and other essential facilities have been satisfactorily arranged. I have instructed the ground staff stationed at the shrine to provide necessary services and amenities to all visitors during these special days,” Dr. Andrabi remarked during her visit. The individuals present at the shrine expressed their gratitude to the Chairperson of the Waqf Board for the board’s reformative initiatives over the past year and a half. |
