Kishtwar, Oct 26: The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban (DKR) Range, Dr. Sunil Gupta, IPS, led a comprehensive security assessment and case evaluation during his visit to Kishtwar district in preparation for the upcoming winter season. The main objectives of this visit were to ensure coordination among different security forces, assess the preparedness for winter operations, and plan for rescue operations when needed. In a detailed crime review meeting at the conference hall of DPL Kishtwar, SSP Kishtwar, Sh. Khalil Poswal-JKPS, presented a thorough analysis of crime statistics, terrorist activities, cases related to the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and other relevant crimes. During the meeting, DIG DKR Range Dr. Sunil Gupta-IPS stressed the importance of conducting meticulous investigations and recommended using modern technological tools to improve the effectiveness of law enforcement efforts. The meeting reviewed critical cases, and directives were issued to enhance the quality of investigations and streamline trial processes. The DIG DKR Range expressed unwavering commitment to justice and urged investigating officers to ensure cases are resolved on their merits. The meeting also discussed various initiatives, including Operation MILAN, Operation SAJRA, Operation TOUCH, Operation PATHSHALA, KAMDHENU, BACHAV, SANJEEVANI, and Operation THIRD EYE. Attendees were encouraged to engage with local communities to facilitate the installation of CCTV cameras, which would improve surveillance capabilities and create safer environments. |
