Govt Polytechnic for Women, Jammu Organizes Activities on the Eve of UT Foundation Day | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 28: In accordance with the directives from the Administrative Department and the District Administration in Jammu, Government Polytechnic for Women, Jammu, organized a Plantation Drive on the eve of the UT Foundation Day. As part of this eco-friendly initiative, ornamental plant saplings were meticulously planted within the institution’s lawns. The task was undertaken collectively by students and staff members, guided by Er. Suket Gupta, the Principal of Government Polytechnic for Women, Jammu. Er. Gupta also used this opportunity to encourage the students, emphasizing the importance of community service and volunteering in such activities. The Plantation Drive was followed by the administration of the Nasha Mukti Pledge. This pledge, aimed at raising awareness about substance abuse and its detrimental effects, was taken by all the staff and students present during the event. The entire program was efficiently coordinated by the National Service Scheme (NSS) program officer, Ms. Bhavna Arora. This series of events not only contributed to the beautification of the institution’s surroundings but also promoted a sense of environmental responsibility and social consciousness among the students and staff members. |
