Civil Defence, Jammu organizes one-day awareness camp at state cancer institute

JAMMU, Oct 28: A one-day awareness program was conducted at the State Cancer Institute J&K in Jammu, located at Rashim Ghar Colony. This program was organized by Civil Defence, Jammu, under the supervision of Deputy Superintendent, Anita Pawar, the Deputy Controller of Civil Defence in Jammu.
The awareness event focused on providing essential knowledge about First Aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), handling choking incidents, fire-fighting techniques, and the prevention of drug addiction. These vital subjects were covered by Civil Defence experts and were intended to benefit the security personnel of the Government Medical College, Jammu.
During the program, the Civil Defence team conducted practical demonstrations on the aforementioned topics to facilitate better understanding. The primary objective of this awareness program was to educate the security personnel on preventive measures to be taken during both natural and man-made disasters.
The event took place within the premises of the Super Specialty Hospital in Jammu, where approximately 70 security personnel actively participated. Dr. Deepak Kumar Bhagat, the Medical Superintendent of the State Cancer Institute J&K, Jammu, expressed his appreciation for the Civil Defence team's efforts in organizing this significant awareness-cum-demonstration program.
Nisar Ahmed Shah, the Managing Director of the Security Association of the Medical College, Jammu, also extended his gratitude to the Civil Defence team for conducting the Civil Defence awareness camp.
Additionally, the event witnessed the presence of key figures, including Paramjit Kumar, Chief Warden of Civil Defence in Jammu, R. Vijay Magotra, Deputy Chief Warden of Civil Defence in Jammu, Captain Waryam Chand, Chief Security Officer, and Ram Dayal Saini, the Sub-Inspector in charge of training for Civil Defence. Their presence added to the significance of the program.
