Early Times Report KISHTWAR, Oct 28: In a concerted effort to enhance road safety and reduce the high rate of traffic violations, Kishtwar Police, under the guidance of SSP Khalil Poswal-JKPS, initiated a massive drive against traffic violators. The initiative was led by SHO PS Kishtwar, Insp. Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday, and supervised by Dy SP Hqrs Dr. Ishan Gupta-JKPS, in collaboration with the traffic police. The special drive targeted various traffic violations, including vehicles parked on the roadside, failure to wear seat belts, riding without helmets, triple riding, overloading, and lacking essential vehicle documents. SSP Kishtwar, Khalil Poswal-JKPS, issued a stern warning to all vehicle operators in the district, emphasizing that strict action will be taken against overloading. He further highlighted that traffic violators bear direct and indirect responsibility for fatal road accidents, which result in the loss of precious lives. In an appeal, SSP Kishtwar, Poswal-JKPS, urged parents to refrain from allowing underage children to operate scooters and motorcycles, as this contributes to the menace of traffic violations. He reiterated Kishtwar Police's commitment to continue this drive until all violators are encouraged to follow traffic rules and prioritize road safety. |
