Shiv Sena condemns terrorist attack, urges Government action for peace in Kashmir | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 30: The Jammu and Kashmir unit of Shiv Sena (UBT) has strongly denounced the tragic killing of Mukesh, a migrant laborer from Uttar Pradesh, by terrorists in Pulwama district, South Kashmir, and labeled it a malicious and cowardly act. Manish Sahni, the party’s state president, issued a stern warning to the terrorists, urging them to abandon their nefarious activities. Sahni also reminded the Central Government of its commitment to bring peace and stability to Kashmir. He pointed out that over four years have passed since the abrogation of Article 370, yet terrorism continues to persist in Jammu and Kashmir. Terrorists seem to operate freely, instilling fear and targeting individuals without restraint. The recent killing of a migrant laborer, along with the targeting and serious injury of a police inspector in Srinagar’s Eidgah area, underscores the hollowness of claims regarding peace restoration in the region. Sahni highlighted the extension of terrorism from the Kashmir valley to the Jammu division, indicating the need for immediate action. Simultaneously, Pakistan continues to violate the ceasefire on the international border, targeting Indian soldiers and civilians. Sahni called upon the Modi government to prioritize peace in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir over election campaigns and to uphold its promise of restoring tranquility for the public. |
