| Notorious drug peddler arrested under PIT NDPS | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 30: An information was received at PS Akhnoor through reliable sources regarding one notorious Drug Peddler namely Ghar Singh alias @ Gharu S/o Rattan Singh R/o Thatti Tehsil Bhalwal Distt. Jammu.
On this a special police team of PS Akhnoor led by SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Sharma assisted by SHO PS Akhnoor Inspr Zaheer Mushtaq raided at the suspected place and arrested the above said drug peddler.
It is pertinent to mention here that the accused person was a notorious criminal and was involved in many cases of drug peddling and dealing in narcotics. Also a warrant of arrest was issued against the said accused by Divisonal commissioner Jammu.
Finally today in compliance to the directions of Divisonal commissioner Jammu, under Prevention of Illicit Traffic of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act of 1988 (PITNDPS) the accused person has been shifted to District Jail Kathua. |
