Police celebrates Rashtriya Ekta Diwas with full dress parade, pledge ceremony

KATHUA, Oct 31: In a resolute display of commitment to preserving and strengthening the unity, integrity, and security of the nation, "Rashtriya Ekta Diwas" (National Unity Day) was observed on October 31, 2023. This significant day marks the 148th Birth Anniversary of the "Iron Man of India," Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
To commemorate this occasion, a grand "Full Dress Parade," "Band Platoon Performance," and a "Pledge Taking Ceremony" were organized at the District Police Lines in Kathua. The event witnessed the presence of distinguished individuals, including Shivdeep Singh Jamwal-JKPS, SSP Kathua, along with other police officers and officials. Notable attendees included Addl. SP Kathua, Paramjeet Singh-JKPS, DySP Headquarters Kathua, Manjeet Singh-JKPS, and DySP DAR Kathua, Subash Chander, among other security officers and officials.
During this observance, SSP Kathua paid heartfelt tributes to India's first Home Minister, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. This occasion serves as a poignant reminder of the intrinsic strength and resilience of the nation in the face of both actual and potential threats to the unity, integrity, and security of our beloved country.
