Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Nov 1: In recognition of the dedicated service rendered by 89 police personnel, the Police Headquarters of Jammu and Kashmir has sanctioned a retirement gift of INR 89 lakh. These personnel retired from their services on October 31, 2023, upon attaining superannuation or voluntary retirement. The official sanction for this retirement gift was issued under PHQ J&K order No. 3046 of 2023, and it benefits personnel from various ranks and units within the J&K Police. The approved amount comprises INR 1 lakh each, provided from the Contributory Police Welfare Fund, and is intended as a token of appreciation for the valuable services they have contributed to the department. This gesture is part of a broader effort by the Police Headquarters to support police personnel and their families through various initiatives, including scholarships, rewards, welfare loans, and relief for both serving and retired police personnel and their dependents. These programs are designed to boost morale, provide assistance during times of need, and honor the sacrifices and commitment of police officers and their families.
