Deputy Commissioner discusses PMAY-G, PSGA, SRO, other cases

BARAMULLA, Nov 4: To review the progress in implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY-G), PSGA, LA, SRO and other cases in the district, a meeting of the Officers of line Departments was today held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar at Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex, here.
A threadbare discussion was held wherein the chair was apprised about the implementation of PMAY-G Scheme in all the Tehsils of Baramulla. The DC was also informed about various cases of PMAY-G beneficiaries benefitted as envisaged under the said scheme.
On the occasion, the DC directed the concerned Officers to ensure that the scheme guidelines are followed in letter and spirit so that all genuine eligible beneficiaries are covered under the PMAY-G scheme in the district.
Dr Sehrish impressed upon the field functionaries to follow the robust mechanism already put in place to ensure immediate verification and processing of cases in favor of verified beneficiaries under the scheme.
The DC also reviewed the progress under Public Services Guarantee Act, freezing of Jamabandies, backlog mutations, pending offline grievances, pending SRO and Land Acquisition cases. The officers of Revenue and other departments were directed for timely disposal of applications and timely submission of information under PSGA to Deputy Commissioner Office Baramulla so that such cases are disposed-off within the prescribed period. It was impressed upon the officers that public grievances or claims shall be disposed-off within the prescribed time frame under PSGA.
Regarding pending offline grievances, pending SRO and LA cases, Dr Sehrish exhorted upon the functionaries of concerned departments to ensure the quality disposal of all cases in a time bound manner.
Meanwhile, the DC also gave a deadline to complete the exercise of quality check, certifications of digitalized Jamabandies and backlog mutations.
