DPS hosts thrilling inter-house quiz competition covering astrophysics, sports, current affairs

Jammu, Nov 5: Delhi Public School (DPS) Jammu recently organized an engaging Inter-House Quiz Competition that encompassed diverse subjects like Astrophysics, Sports, and Current Affairs. The competition witnessed spirited participation from all five houses - Chenab, Ganga, Jhelum, Tawi, and Yamuna - as teams, eager to display their knowledge and skills in a battle of wits, featuring four challenging rounds.
The competition fostered a vibrant sense of community among the learners and celebrated their thirst for knowledge. The competition commenced with a round dedicated to Astrophysics, where participants demonstrated their fascination with the cosmos by answering ten questions. This round featured no negative marking. The Audio Visual Round followed, testing participants’ knowledge using audio and visual cues. The Rapid Fire Round then showcased quick thinking and comprehensive knowledge, while the Double Trouble Round added a strategic twist, with higher stakes and potential point deductions for incorrect answers. This round tested participants’ confidence and strategic thinking, leading to an exciting showdown of knowledge.
The event was marked by intense competition, with participants showcasing their diverse expertise across all categories, keeping the audience enthralled.
The winners of the quiz competition were announced as follows:
• First place: Aarush Gandotra (XI-A) and Jeetansh (IX-K) from Ganga House
• Second place: Aaida (IX-J) and Gurtej Singh (XI-B) from Yamuna House
• Third place: Radha Raman Sharma (XI-A) and Parikansh Rakwal (XI-A) from Chenab House
The winners received mementoes and certificates in recognition of their exceptional performance.
Ms. Ruchi Chabra, Principal of DPS Jammu, expressed heartfelt appreciation for all participants, in-charge, teachers, and members of the Eureka Physics Club, who contributed to the success of this memorable event.
The esteemed Management of DPS Jammu, including Hon’ble President, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, distinguished PVC, Dr. Kuwarani Ritu Singh, and Hon’ble Director, Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji, congratulated the winners and participants, extending their best wishes for their future endeavors.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Jyoti Pallalia, Activity Coordinator, highlighting the collective efforts that made the competition a resounding success.
