13 grams of heroin recovered by Police station Satwari | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 6: Continuing it’s drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Jammu Police achieved major success by recovering 13 grams of heroin from one accused person in the jurisdiction of PS Satwari. A police team of PS Satwari led by SDPO South Sachit Sharma assisted by SHO PS Satwari Inspr Sumeet Sharma and I/C PP Phallain Mandal ASI Ranjeet Singh while on patrolling duty at Makwal rounded up a suspect who was coming from Makwal Gujjar basti towards Suhanjana. On search, 13 grams of heroin was recovered from her. In this regard a case FIR No. 243/2023 u/s 8/21/22/ NDPS Act got registered in PS Satwari and accused were arrested. The accused arrested was later identified as Beerain Bibi W/o Beeru Gujjar R/o Gujjar Basti Makwal. It is pertinent to mention that accused lady was a notorious criminal and involved in multiple drug peddling cases. Further investigation of the case is going on. Jammu police is working intensively to uproot the chains of drug supply in the region and thorough questioning of the accused is going on to know the origin of the drugs supply chain. Jammu Police is striving hard and taking every possible step to make people especially youth aware to eradicate drug menace.
