UDHAMPUR, Nov 9: The kickoff of the fifth phase of the Back to Village program transformed 49 panchayat halqas into lively hubs, where visiting officers engaged with PRI members and the public, initiating a range of B2V5 activities. The vibrant atmosphere showcased impressive public involvement in Udhampur District. PRIs members and the general public extended a warm welcome to visiting officers, who delved into activities such as inspecting public infrastructure, distributing Kisan Credit cards, participating in sports and cultural events, inaugurating PMAY houses, conducting detailed reviews of departmental deliverables, organizing awareness sessions, and holding public meetings. Enthusiastic participation from PRI members and the public was evident as they shared views and feedback on the work done by various departments. Visiting officers chaired meetings with PRIs, inspected public infrastructure, and assured the availability of the best possible facilities. Throughout the extensive exercise, visiting officers visited various panchayats, engaged with locals, and ensured the provision of optimal facilities. Inspection of stalls set up by various departments allowed officers to review the implementation of welfare schemes and track progress in ongoing developmental works, while also fostering awareness among the general public.
