| Dewan Devi celebrates Diwali, Children’s Day | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 10: Diwali and Children's Day were celebrated today in the premises of Dewan Devi Higher Secondary School.
Teachers explained the importance of Diwali, the festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair. Various cultural programmes, skits and activities were organized in the school premises. Beautiful Rangoli was also made by students.
Students of Senior secondary wing also displayed their home made decorative items for Diwali in the exhibition.
The Principal of the school addressed the students, advising them to work hard in their life as they are the future of India.
Later the principal of the school congratulated everyone for the great effort. Sweets and chocolates were distributed among the students by the Management and Staff of the school. |
