Early Times Report
SAMBA, Nov 10: The inaugural phase of the Back to Village Phase 5 (B2V5) public outreach program concluded today with a resounding success in District Samba. The Back to Village Phase 5 (B2V5) program is a pioneering initiative aimed at bridging the gap between governance and the grassroots level. Through comprehensive public outreach, the program seeks to empower communities, address grievances, and ensure the effective implementation of government schemes for holistic development.
Spanning from November 8 to November 10- 2023, Phase 1 of B2V5 actively engaged with 44 panchayats across Blocks including Purmandal, Bari Brahmna, Sumb, Nud, and Rajpura.
At Panchayat Badhori in Block Bari Brahmna, Bipul Pathak, Director General, Institute of Management, Public Administration, and Rural Development (IMPA & RD), took center stage. He distributed certificates to commendable women achievers, reinforcing the program's commitment to recognizing and empowering women in the community.
Similarly, Visiting Officer Babila Rakwal, Mission Director, National Health Mission, J&K, made a significant impact during his visit to Panchayat Meen Charkan in Block Bari Brahmna. She actively engaged with the local community, listening to and resolving various issues. Furthermore, she provided crucial instructions for the development of local infrastructure, underlining the program's holistic approach to address both immediate concerns and long-term community development.
In Panchayat Rajpur Kholar Block Bari Brahmna Visiting Officer Rifat Kohli played a pivotal role in actively resolving various issues within the community. Additionally, they diligently checked the implementation of government schemes, ensuring a hands-on approach to address concerns and foster effective governance. Similarly the other Visiting officers did the same in their respective panchayats.
During this phase, dedicated visiting officers diligently listened to public grievances, ensuring a participatory approach in governance. A key focus was the assessment of the effective implementation of various government schemes, reflecting a commitment to accountable and transparent administration. The visiting officers undertook a series of impactful initiatives during their engagements, including the solemn pledge for Nasha Mukti, the distribution of certificates to commendable women achievers, and robust plantation drives. Additionally, thorough inspections were conducted at stalls representing various government departments, contributing to enhanced service delivery. Particular attention was given to the scrutiny of Amrit Sarovar and soak pit checks, reflecting the program's commitment to environmental sustainability.
Further, rigorous inspections were carried out at anganwadi centers, health centers, and educational institutions within their respective panchayats, ensuring the well-being and progress of these critical community assets. The successful completion of Phase 1 marks a significant milestone in the B2V5 program, setting a positive tone for future phases.
