DC takes comprehensive review of achievements under Power Sector in Rajouri

RAJOURI, Oct 11: In a significant step towards enhancing the standard of living and ensuring uninterrupted power supply to the consumers, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress of power sector projects in the district.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Khurshid, XEN PDD Rajouri, Mohd Rashid, along with other concerned officers. The primary focus of this meeting was to evaluate the status of the power sector projects undertaken as part of the DDC, PRI grants, TSP and SSY. During the review, it was informed that a total of 140 projects were approved, with an impressive 15 projects already having been completed. These projects have been carefully proposed to fortify the essential infrastructure of the area, thereby ensuring uninterrupted power supply to the people of Rajouri.
Deputy Commissioner, cognizant of the importance of these projects in improving the lives of the residents of the district, stressed the urgency of expediting the allotment process. He underscored the need to adhere to strict timelines to ensure the timely completion of all projects. This commitment to adhering to schedules aligns with the goal of administration of guaranteeing continuous and adequate power supply to the public. The DC emphasized, "Our priority is to enhance the quality of life for our citizens by providing them with reliable power infrastructure. This review is a testament to our dedication to this cause. We are committed to creating an environment where residents can thrive, and this begins with reliable access to electricity." By facilitating the timely completion of these projects, the District Administration aims to not only enhance the infrastructure of the region but also significantly elevate standard of living for the people of Rajouri. The meeting ended with a call to action for all officers involved in these projects, with a renewed commitment to ensuring that the people of Rajouri can soon enjoy a better quality of life, powered by reliable and uninterrupted electricity.
