HPS illuminates Diwali spirit, embraces green celebrations

JAMMU, Nov 11: Humanity Public School in Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana, came alive with the glow of Diwali as students and staff celebrated the festival of lights and Bhai Dooj within the school premises. The day was marked by a special assembly echoing the message of 'Green Diwali, Clean Diwali,' fostering an atmosphere of joy and happiness.
In the presence of School Principal, Gaurav Charak, Vice Principal, Anku Charak, and other dignitaries, students and faculty gathered to seek the blessings of Goddess Laxmi for wealth, fortune, power, fertility, and prosperity.
The celebration featured speeches by students Neha (class 8th) and Bhairavi (class 2nd), who eloquently discussed the significance of Diwali, emphasizing the triumph of good over evil. A vibrant dance performance added to the festive spirit, with students also shedding light on the adverse effects of crackers and sharing safety guidelines for their use.
As part of the festivities, a Rangoli-making competition unfolded, showcasing the artistic talents of students from Grades 8th to 10th. Agni House emerged as the winner, followed by Prithvi House, Akash House, and Trishool House.
Bhai Dooj, also known as Bhai Tika, was celebrated with enthusiasm as students, including Mansi (class 10th), Aiza Fatima, and Muskan (class 3rd), presented speeches and rhymes to highlight the cultural significance of the occasion.
Vice-Principal, Anku Charak, expressed that this Diwali is unforgettable for the HPS team, extending warm wishes for a happy, healthy, and prosperous Diwali to parents, friends, and well-wishers. The assembly concluded with Principal Gaurav Charak emphasizing the importance of a green, clean, and peaceful Diwali, reinforcing the bond between teachers and students.
