| 10 vehicles involved in illegal mining seized by Jammu Police | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 13: In a quest to stern the menace of illegal mining, a multi-pronged strategy was devised by Jammu Police in which police teams of PS Jhajjar Kotli, PS Akhnoor, PS Khour and PP Pouni Chak acted stringently on the specific inputs and raided at a location in their respective area and seized 10 vehicles involved in illegal mining. Details of the vehicle seized are as under:
Three Vehicles i.e One Tipper bearing Registration No JK02CG-3421 and two Dumpers bearing Registration Nos JK19-8556 and JK19-6188, by PS Jhajjar Kotli.
One Tractor Trolley JK02CK-0497, PS Akhnoor.
04 Vehicles i.e One JCB and 03 Dumpers all without Registration Nos, by PS Khour.
02 Vehicles without Registration Nos, by PP Pounichak.
The recoveries were made by SHO PS Jhajjar Kotli Inspr Azad Ahmed, SHO PS Akhnoor Inspr Zaheer Mushtaq, SHO PS Khour Inspr Ravi Kant and I/C PP Pouni Chak SI Ashish Sharma in their respective jurisdictions.
DMO Jammu was also intimated about the same.
The mining was done in violation of order of Hon'ble High Court of J&k. In order to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law Jammu Police has initiated strict action. |
