3rd phase of B2V-5 begins in 152 Panchayats of Kupwara district

KUPWARA, Nov 13: The third phase of mega public outreach programme ‘Back to Village, (B2V5)’ begun today in 152 Panchayats of Kupwara district with villages presenting a festive look, public enthusiastically participating in the programme and expressing their views and feedback over the work done by various departments.
During the programme, Gram Sabhas for formulation of GPDP, public grievances redressal camps, plantation drives and other activities were held.
The Visiting Officers chaired Gram Sabhas, Bal Sabhas and Mahila Sabhas and administered the pledge to the participants to discourage the drug menace.
Special Camps were organised to provide support to specially-abled, senior citizens, besides distribution of certificates like income certificate, Ayushman Bharat Golden Cards, and other certificates in Panchayat Ghars were held in the district.
Visiting Officers also participated in sports activities, talent hunt programmes, cultural events and youth engagement activities in order to reach out to village population and promote various initiatives like Nasha Mukt Bharat, Swach Gram, promoting self employment schemes etc.
Visiting Officers interacted with people and also inspected the development works, conducting inspection of CSC Centres, Anganwadi Centres, Schools and generating awareness about online services of the Government.
In addition, the frontline workers, district officers, PRIs including Sarpanchs, Panchs, and locals actively participated in the Back to Village programme.
