Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 18: In a bid to foster holistic well-being among female students, SG Govt. Degree College Doongi, in collaboration with the International Association of Human Values (IAHV) and the Art of Living Foundation, recently organized a comprehensive 3-day workshop on “Women Health and Hygiene.”
Ms. Vibha Oberoi, a devoted volunteer from the International Association of Human Values, led the engaging and informative sessions that covered a spectrum of topics ranging from menstrual health to emotional well-being.
Oberoi’s commitment to breaking taboos surrounding women’s health and providing practical insights left a lasting impact, empowering female students to prioritize their overall well-being.
The seamless execution of the workshop was the result of collaborative efforts led by Prof. Samina Khan, Convener of the Red Ribbon Club, and the coordination of Dr. Rajni Devi, Dr. Pratima Bhushan, and Ms. Sanjogita Kumari from the Departments of Sociology, EVS, and Hindi, respectively.
The “Women Health and Hygiene” workshop reflects the commitment of Shaheed Ghanisham Degree College Doongi to the holistic development of its students in the culturally rich region of Jammu and Kashmir.
The event garnered esteemed patronage from Prof. (Dr.) Jaipal Singh, the college principal, who commended the workshop for its meaningful impact.
Prof. Singh expressed his appreciation for the efforts of Ms. Vibha Oberoi and the college organizing team, recognizing their pivotal role in making the workshop a resounding success.
He encouraged students to prioritize holistic well-being, urging them to continue their pursuit of knowledge and contribute positively to society.
This initiative aligns with the college’s vision of nurturing not just academic excellence but also the overall growth and welfare of its students, ensuring they are well-equipped to face the challenges of the future.
