Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 18: The 14th State Speedball Championship, organized by the J&K Speedball Association, concluded with a grand closing ceremony at the British International School. Over 500 players from various schools in districts Kathua, Samba, and APS Dhar Road Udhampur participated in the championship. The closing ceremony had esteemed guests in attendance, including Chief Guest SSP Mohan Lal (Staff Officer to ADGP Railways), Pooja Malhotra (Founder Patron Jksba), Pushvinder Singh Charak (Secretary BJP), Supriya Singh Chouhan (Advocate, J&K & Ladakh High Court), A.K Attri Ips (Retd DIG & Chief Advisor Jksba), Rohit Gupta (M.D. Operation, British International School), and the renowned singer of J&K, Ramesh Jogi. During the ceremony, Chief Guest SSP Mohan Lal, along with other dignitaries, distributed prizes among the winners. The winning schools were Rich Harvest School (1st), DPS Kathua (2nd), and Humanity Public School (2nd), while British International School secured the 3rd position. The outstanding players were honored with cash awards, presented by President Pooja Malhotra. The chief guest addressed the audience and participants, emphasizing the values of sports and commending the role of the Speedball Association in promoting sports among school children. The championship aimed at fostering sportsmanship and providing a platform for young talents to showcase their skills. The event was organized by General Secretary Sunny Nanda, and the final winners were decided through competitive and spirited matches. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of prizes, refreshments for the players, and a vote of thanks extended by Mrs. Vandana Khajuria, Vice Principal of BIS.
