Jammu, Nov 18: Model Academy School hosted its Annual Sports Meet on November 18, 2023, demonstrating a commitment to fostering athletic prowess and inclusivity across all education levels. The event brought together students from pre-primary, primary, and inclusive school backgrounds for an exhilarating display of skill and sportsmanship.
The sprawling sports grounds of Model Academy School witnessed a vibrant display of skill, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship as students from diverse backgrounds competed in various races. The Annual Sports Meet served as a platform for students to showcase their talents, build camaraderie, and embrace healthy competition.
Dr. Adit Gupta, Director MIER, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, and Mrs. Rupa Gupta, Jt. Director, attended as the Guest of Honour. Dr. Gupta’s inspiring address encouraged young athletes to embrace values such as discipline, perseverance, and teamwork, motivating them to excel in both sports and academics. The torch, symbolizing the spirit of competition and sportsmanship, was lit by the sports captains, visually representing unity and shared goals among the participants. This symbolic gesture set the tone for a day filled with spirited competition and mutual support.
Under the guidance of the sports convener, Mrs. Nisha Sharma, and physical instructors, Mr. Imran Ahmed and Mr. Sahil, the Annual Sports Meet featured a diverse array of races, including animal race, balloon pop race, relay race, ring on the cone, pyramid building race, super hero race, balancing race, cycling race, hockey ball race, fruit market race, butterfly race, and hurdle race.
The inclusive nature of the Sports Meet underscored the school’s commitment to providing a supportive environment for students of all abilities. School dignitaries, staff, and students enthusiastically cheered on the young participants, fostering an atmosphere of encouragement and support.
Principal Mr. Pramod Srivastava expressed delight at the event’s success, stating, “The Annual Sports Meet is a celebration of not only athletic achievements but also the spirit of inclusion that defines our school. It’s heartening to see students from different backgrounds coming together, competing, and supporting each other.”
The Annual Sports Meet at Model Academy School exemplified the institution’s dedication to holistic development and inclusive education. The event showcased not only physical prowess but also the students’ ability to collaborate toward common goals, reinforcing the values of sportsmanship and unity.
