Early Times Report BATOTE, Nov 21: Government Degree College (GDC) Batote, in collaboration with the Agriculture and Allied Departments of District Ramban, recently hosted a Block Level Orientation Programme titled "Yuva Vani," aimed at attracting the youth towards agriculture and allied sectors. The program, held on 21-11-2023, saw active participation from students, faculty, and local entrepreneurs, all gathered to explore the diverse opportunities in the agricultural domain. Prof. Nirlape Kour, the principal of GDC Batote, extended a warm welcome to all attendees, setting the stage for an enlightening and interactive session. Dr. Rayees Ahmad from the Department of Animal Husbandry skillfully conducted the proceedings, highlighting the importance of agriculture and allied sectors in the socio-economic development of the region. Local entrepreneurs were invited to share their success stories, with a focus on areas such as Dairy Farm Management, Mushroom Cultivation, and various other self-employment schemes provided by different departments to address the unemployment challenges faced by the youth of Jammu & Kashmir. Dr. Bali Ji, representing the Agriculture Department, delivered a comprehensive presentation, shedding light on the various schemes available to support and encourage those venturing into agriculture.
