Interactive session on “Cyber Security & Drugs Abuse” organises by PS Bus Stand | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 22: In an effort to raise awareness among students about the “Cybersecurity & Drugs Abuse”, a highly informative and engaging interactive session was held at the St. Peter School by Jammu Police. The session was chaired by SDPO City North Sunil Kumar Kesar and SHO PS Bus Stand Inspr Sudhir Sadhotra accompanied by Principal of School Father Joseph alongwith staff members/students of school who also actively participated in the interactive session. The session was aimed to empower students with knowledge and insights to make informed decisions and protect themselves in today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape. SDPO North Sunil Kumar Kesar in the first part of the session discussed the growing threats in the digital landscape and the importance of safeguarding personal and sensitive information online i.e Protecting Personal Data: Attendees were advised on the significance of strong, unique passwords, two-factor authentication, and the use of reputable antivirus software . The experts shared insights into recognizing phishing attempts and email scams, emphasizing the need to exercise caution when clicking on suspicious links, Attendees were also learned about the techniques cybercriminals use to manipulate individuals into revealing confidential information and how to identify and avoid falling victim to these tactics. Moreover, during the session, students were also enlightened about the consequences of “Drug Abuse” on our physical and mental health, education, and overall well-being. They were encouraged to seek help if they or their peers were facing any form of substance abuse. The session concluded with a strong message urging students to become responsible digital citizens and make informed choices about their health and online presence. |
