MAHANPUR, Nov 23: In a fitting tribute to Constitution Day (Samvidhan Divas), the NSS unit of GDC Mahanpur organized a short video presentation under the theme "My Constitution My Pride." The initiative, held under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, focused on honoring the legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, a towering figure in Indian history.
The video aimed to enlighten students about Dr. B.R. Ambedkar's profound contributions to Indian society and his tireless efforts towards the upliftment of the marginalized sections, particularly the Dalit community. Dr. Ambedkar, a multifaceted personality, served as a social reformer, jurist, economist, and politician, leaving an indelible mark on the nation's social fabric.
The event witnessed active participation from about 20 students, reflecting their keen interest in understanding and celebrating the constitutional ideals championed by Dr. Ambedkar. Principal Dr. Sangeeta Sudan commended the students for their enthusiastic involvement in the program, highlighting the importance of such initiatives in fostering awareness and appreciation for the Constitution.
Among the distinguished staff members present were Dr. Balbinder Singh, Prof Arvind Kumar, Sourabh Dutta, Dr. Parshotam Dass, Dr. Hilal Ahmed Bhat, Dr. Mohammed Sardar Bhatti, and Dr. Sapna Devi, along with non-teaching staff. Their presence underscored the collective commitment to promoting constitutional values and recognizing the pivotal role played by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar in shaping the democratic foundations of the country.
