Early Times Report RAMGARH, Nov 25: The NSS Unit 'Prabha' of Government Degree College (GDC), Ramgarh, in collaboration with the departments of Education, Political Science, and Sociology, observed Constitution Day of India with a series of engaging activities. The highlight of the event was a Quiz Competition titled 'How much we know our constitution' and a reading of the preamble to the Indian Constitution. Under the able guidance and supervision of the Principal of the College, Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, the program aimed to foster awareness and understanding of the Constitution among students and faculty. Prof. Andotra addressed the audience, emphasizing the significance of celebrating November 26th as Constitution Day (Samvidhan Diwas) to mark the adoption of the Constitution of India. Prof. Andotra highlighted the unifying role of the constitution, bringing people of all religions together. She underscored how the constitution serves as a guide, making citizens aware of their rights and duties, ultimately promoting coordinated progress. She emphasized the principles of justice, equality, freedom, and fraternity embedded in the constitution. The day also witnessed a prize distribution ceremony for various competitions conducted under the theme "My Constitution, My Pride." The competitions included Poster Making on the topic "Right to Education Act," Slogan Writing on "Mental Health," Debate on "Corporal Punishment," and Essay Writing on "Women Rights." Dr. Sandeep Kumari, Head of the Department of Education, welcomed the audience and provided a brief report on the activities conducted under "My Constitution, My Pride." The event garnered significant participation from students and faculty.
